Dukinfield Cyclists’ Club, founded in 1885, is one of the oldest established clubs in the country and has around 80 members ranging from age 10 to over 80. Having Fun On Bikes For 127 Years! The “ducks” have members in Longdendale.

Longendale and Glossopdale Footpath Preservation Society

Established in 1975 with the aim of preserving our local footpaths by walking them, we are

forty years old and have a membership of around 150 people. Our varied walks

programme includes short strolls with the possibility of a pub lunch, longer hikes further afield, coach trips and a weekend’s walking away from home.
